awkward and awesome

welcome to awkward and awesome Thursday originally started by none other than the famous Sydney from the daybook blog. I hardly post about awkward and awesome things because they hardly ever happen to me, but over the past few weeks I have compiled a few things that are post worthy... well maybe they aren't...

Awkward:
- Looking at these pictures. You know, I had this great vision for this outfit, and maybe it looked cuter in person but, one thing is for sure.... NOT CUTE... Plus, I look so chubby!!

- Seeing someone at the store... "Hey girl! How's it going?! How have you been?!" All I get is a weird stare in response... hmmm maybe she has a twin?

- Blacking-out and falling down the stairs, still have a bruise and a kink in my knee to remember my little fall... Landing on your knees and then the palms of your hands from a step above, maybe that's not such a little fall. You know, maybe this was more hurtful than awkward.

- Not being able to find my words. Last week we were eating dinner with a few other people and I couldn't find the word I was looking for and I started to stutter. Where the heck did that come from?!

Awesome:
- Never thought a group of adults could laugh so hard at a loud 3 year old flatulent. Thank you young sir for being the highlight of the hour.

- Sitting in church on Sunday and the older lady in front of us starts to slope down in her seat, I wonder if I should tap her neighbor and warn her that the lady might fall on the floor and as I reach my hand out to do so the older lady wakes up, shuffles back into an upright position and falls back asleep.... really?!

- Seeing two women/friends/twins/sisters dressed the exact same, I kid you not... same hair do too!

- Three day weekend last week, I'm in love with three day weekends!

Awkward and Awesome

Awkward:

• These pictures!! My hips look much bigger with this lovely look. I don't know what to do! I guess I don't have the opportunity to follow this fashion trend.... (Maybe someone should help me figure out how to dress for my shape! haha!) 

Awesome:

• Email from my brother sent directly to my phone! YES!!
• Buying my favorite soft yarn from JoAnn's because they had it for a great price!
• Babysitting a sweet little angel, she was the highlight of my week!
• Getting my homework done! 
• Eating my own tongue yesterday because I thought it was a whoopie pie, my my tongue has a bite mark now. I guess I got carried away!
• Watching the Teen Mom 2 season finally! Is anyone else obsessed with that show?? I like it because it makes me feel like a normal person! Not awesome that the season is over though....

More sore stomachs from laughing SO MUCH!
I just love it!

Today is Friday!
Welcome LONG weekend!
I'm working hard to get my animals done!
Pretty lengthy work though!

Pinterest still gets me!
My favorite topics are fashion and hair.
Can I tell you that I just love looking at what everyone is wearing,
I don't think it is good for my wallet though!

This weekend I will be doing lots of this...

Yep, hanging out with the hubs!
Maybe some swimming, maybe a BBQ with friends, oh the possibilities!

Awkward & Awesome Week

Awesome:

• Sitting in the Walmart parking lot letting my husband put eye drops in my REALLY red eye. I kept blinking and so the drops wouldn't go in till he 'lied' to me and said "Okay I'm not going to drop it yet" but he did and it worked! From then on I gave him permission to 'lie' to me about when he would put the eye drops in my eye!


• So Many 'THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID" moments!


• Brother landed in the DR!


• Finishing my book


• Creating a super cute cuddly Giraffe


• Actually having all my outfits planned out the night before so I wasn't scrambling  around to find something to wear.  


• 2 Date Nights this week!


• AZ Humane Society Orientation on Saturday! So ready to help and visit those cute puppies!

Awkward: 

• Forgetting someones name at work and calling them the wrong thing! Oops! 


• Walking around all day with my NASTY red eye, I swear I looked like someone from a scary movie with that thing!

Awkward & Awesome!

I have noticed when I do these posts that my life is more awesome than awkward. 

This IN NO WAY means my life is always awesome, just that I don't find my self in many awkward situations I guess. 

This is kind of a good thing but, it would be better if I was more awkward because 

it would make for a great read!!

Awkward:

We have family in town that the hubs has never met. Sitting at the counter eating delish cake my mom made he turns to me and goes so what’s her name again? I tell him the name that I thought he was asking for and it ends up it was someone else’s name. Everyone kind of brushed it off but we were sitting in silence for a good 5 seconds! HA! Poor guy!

  Awesome:

Had family in town that I haven’t seen since my junior maybe even sophomore year of high school

Trying on swimsuits for Mexico and come to find out that I have lost enough weight to fit into my swim bottoms from JUNIOR year! Yes you have no idea how excited I was about that!

My hubs letting me buy a cute mexico outfit

Taking my BIL out to dinner – he leaves on the 20^th for his mission in Brazil.

My youngest brother turned 16 on Wednesday! So weird!

Walking past people who all or a sudden got quiet

{prob jealous because of my outfit!} (:

Walking around the mall looking for a place to take out the links in a watch, go to a store, they have all their reps standing in a circle talking and turn silent when we walk up, we ask a question, they look at each other to see who wants to respond, she responds we look at each other and walk away

Walking down the hall at work with heels on {I don’t wear heels} and tripping while people are right there watching, yes they laughed

 

Awesome

Watching General Conference on Sunday with the Fam

{worked Sat so I couldn't watch it}

Getting my day off when I thought I wouldn’t get it!

Getting my super cute necklace from my super cute sponsor

Looking at my grade in creative reading 97% baby

Finding out we are going to rocky point and I am so excited! Let me show you HOW excited I 

really am!!!

We get Thrifty Ice Cream!! 

We get to RELAX!! 

Find Sea Creatures and put them on our faces!! 

{I will actually NOT be participating in the putting on face part! They tickle!}

We get to take pictures on the beach!

We get to fee the Seagulls!

There is so much more I cannot wait for!

Can you tell how excited I am?!? 

PS- I REALLY want to tan but I do burn, does ANYONE know how I can get that golden tan?!

Awkward

• Facebook can cause all sorts of awkward situations. For example, my husband and I share a Facebook account and we constantly have random people friend request us and sometime we have to ignore the requests because we don't know them! But there was a specific person who we ignored and came up to us and asked us if we saw their friend request!! Uhhh...

{yes for the moment I can only think of ONE awkward thing!!}

Awesome

• I FINALLY got to go on a shopping adventure! My sweet husband let me pick out some outfits and I really cannot wait for WWW! I am going to have the cutest outfits!
• I stood up for my self the other day! This man though he was all that and I totally dished it right back! Maybe that isn't very nice but I am no longer bing pushed around!
• General Conference is this weekend! I cannot wait to listen to all the AMAZING talks!!
• My niece was blessed on Sunday and we went to her party later that night and I got to holder the whole time!!! {I love her!}
