What I Wore: business as usual

Top: TJMaxx.  Cardi: Target, Slacks: JCPenny, Shoes: Ross, Bracelet: Juicy

Have you ever gone to the grocery store in your work clothes? Have you ever noticed that people treat you differently depending on what clothes you are wearing? I had to make a quick stop at the grocery store to pick up a few things right after work. I wasn't too dressy, you know just the work casual slacks, a nice shirt and boots (not this specific outfit). But I couldn't help but notice the the glances and smiles I got. Brand said that when he was younger, like just out of high school, he and his buddies dressed up in scrubs to see how people would treat them. Needless to say he too got smiles and was treated differently. Why is that?  It definitely made me want to wear my work clothes to the store all the time! (:

Yes, I have totally experienced the different treatment based on how I'm dressed. I also think half of it is my mentality - because I carry myself differently (better, probably with more poise) - when I'm dressed better!

Thanks for linking up with me at last week's Drab to Fab! Hope you'll come back this week and link up again. I love seeing what you're up to / wearing!
