A Positive Beginning

I am the kind of person who loves dreaming.
I love dreaming about what my future holds.
Where I might be in the next year.
How much I would accomplish
Whose life would I touch or inspire

Sometimes I look at others and see the things they have
And compare them to the things I don't have.
I think about the things they get to do
And compare them to the things I don't get to do.

I know this isn't the way to think, live or act.
Yesterday I had the great opportunity to listen to an Apostle of God.
I felt the Spirit so strong and knew I was meant to hear what President Uchtdorf was saying.

The part that touched me the most was when he said:

As a child, when I would look at the little forget-me-nots, I sometimes felt a little like that flower—small and very insignificant. I wondered if I would be forgotten by my family or by my Heavenly Father.
Years later, I can look back on that young boy with tenderness and compassion. And I do know now I was never forgotten.
And I know something else. As an Apostle of our Master, Jesus Christ, I proclaim with all the certainty and conviction of my heart and soul—neither are you!
You are not forgotten.
Sisters, wherever you are, whatever the circumstances may be, you are not forgotten. No matter how dark your days may seem, no matter how insignificant you may feel, no matter how overshadowed you think you may be, your Heavenly Father has not forgotten you. In fact, He loves you, with an infinite love.
—President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

I am so very grateful to belong to this church and to be able to listen to a prophet's voice. These men truly are called of God.
